This is a list of <b>some</b> of the more major issues identified in Meteor v1.1.3, these are the results of your feedback and extensive research/testing.

Game - crashes to desktop, especially after using editors or playing a prior game without restarting Meteor (which you obviously should not have to do).

Map Editor - crashes to desktop now and then when editing especially after selecting sprites, units or power ups.

Map Editor (Advanced Map Properties) - Next map filenames are restricted to 12 characters, going over this will cause the next filename in the list to become damaged and the next map will fail to run. Selecting a name thats too long in the third box causes instabilities. Additonally the third map will fail to start anyway (it uses 2!).

Player Character Editor - This is very unstable especially when selecting sprites and editing weapon mounts.

All Editors - The bitmap picker grids (selecting sprites, units and power ups) are generally unstable, this is being caused by a bug in the scrollbar code and some other code issues.

<b>All of these issues are being rectified</b>

Note: There are some other issues already discussed in this forum (i.e. setting player health and data loader problems for mods). These are also being fixed.

I have benn messing around with my afghanistan mod and these are the main problems

When I try to make a weapon in my mod it won’t let me use weapon sprites (ak47t) that are in my mod folder and just replaces them with the first sprite in my sprite folder (0fire) In the mod Rocket Raid all the new weapons use sprites from the base folder, but I want to use my sprites.
The Music play the correct menu song in the menu and credit song in the credits and the correct first level song on the first 1eve1, but if I go back in to the menu from the first level the first level song still plays. It also plays on any 1eve1 even if I play a level from in the map editor it still plays the song from the first leve1!!!!! Can you fix this? I know in the mod Rocket Raid (you will never know how I got it so don’t ask) all the music is right. How could this happen. Why can’t my mod work?
Whenever I try to load or save a character it opens my folder “1.3/afgan/players” but whenever I try to load a sprite from the “go to” button which sends me into the sprite gallery and I try to load one of my sprites i.e. ak47s by clicking on it, it gives me the error message “cannot find m1.3/base/sprites/ak47s”. The same thing happens if I try to load a weapon or a projectile. So the only way I can access my sprites/weapons/projectiles is by pressing “F3” or the Load button. And if that isn’t hard enough, it starts the open dialogue at “M1.3/base/sprites/” so I have to either retype it to “M1.3/afgan/sprites” or use the mouse to navigate there. Could you make it so that I can load my things from the gallery or at least make it so the open dialogue starts in my mod folder?

so should I wait for these to get fixed or send out my mod.. I'd rather wait so can make an AK-47 and other things.:-P
