Alright guys - I'm thinking of doing a revamp on the broken IRC client named jbgchat. Or, these days it should be renamed to jbpchat, but that would suck imho so I'm thinking of renaming it to just jbchat.

But push the name issue aside. Here's my to-do list:
- Fix of the infamous quote-crasher, i.e. if you put any character directly after a full quote crashes jbgchat.
- Huge optimizations in the code, redundancy removal
- Perhaps open a new window for private chat instead of having it in-line in the chat window and having to /msg constantly?
- Add alpha translucency (windows only; if I get it working)
- Working user auto-completion, not just a stub
- http:// link recognition
- Find all crashers and fix them!

But yep: I have probably forgotten a piece of this to-do list, and would gladly take ideas of more. So, I'm asking: what do you want to see in this program?

Backround, support for certain characters, A pivate message window popup after double clicking on a name, smiley buttons. (Not just : + D =

)

I was known as Naval War before.
I love and mod Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

Well...
- Smiley buttons: pretty easy.. though you would see it as : D in the text input, though.. it'd work like it does here in the forum post form.
- private chat after double click: hmm, I think I could make it work but I've got to read the manuals again..
- Background and support for certain characters: That's probably an encoding issue, will fix that if it is so... but background? I don't get it.

Well, different colours for borders and/or ingame chat window.
