I guess a thread like this might become useful.

December 31th 2008
-------------------------
OK all fixed on EKT, moving the thing back there. Though, as we now use a new ident, an upgrade is needed. 0.13.2 won't work.

December 27th 2008
-------------------------
The botnet system on EKT hought jbgchat was hostile so I had to move it (for now) to my own box. For I've lost my FTP details I can't change the website for now, but the details are as follows:
Server: epsilon.selfip.com
Port: 6667 (as always)
Channel: #jbgames

August 19th 2008
---------------------
As jbgchat is a program it contains bugs. All programs do; no exceptions (except perhaps the hello world program). Tcl/Tk applications tend to inform of some of these bugs as "application errors". These pop up as dialog boxes, and since they're error dialogs they should never appear.

Latest version: 0.13.3

I always use the online client. I never had problems with it; The only bad thing about is that I can't see those new smileys. SO WHAT?

Sheesh, dont derail the thread :p Aleksanteri spent a lot of time working on this thing, and it was made before the Web-based IRC thing was here.

Well, I'm planning a 0.13 release with a new multi-line editor useful to paste scripts with (don't flood the channel excessively though!). If there's something people would like to see in it please do ask! The human being isn't usually capable of telepathy :p

Hmm, I'd not be so sure of that; there are some exceptions. There is this one guy who has a TV show wherein he communicates with the "souls" of people via telepathy. And he's always right!

Ahh well, I'm derailing the thread again =)

I'll have to agree with Mrazerty. There are some exceptions, some people have this gift but it's very rare, of course.

It also seems nested quotes don't work.

0.13 is now out and can be downloaded here. This release adds a multi-line editor and fixes some bugs, see the changelog.

0.13.1 is out as well and can be downloaded here. This fixes some annoying bugs, see the changelog.

(gee I just released to versions within an hour :-O)

Any chance we can have a gtk2 version? It looks a lot nice than tcl/tk
Also known as Veyrdite
My website: http://halestrom.net/darksleep@Occasionally you may meet me when you sleep. In the darkest corners of your dreams, where your phone stops working and you don't know what to do. I'll be there; telling you that I don't support your device.

"Can't you just fix-"
NO! I told you when you bought this, when it goes wrong I can't fix it. It's filled with glue. The Greek goddess of glue Araldities herself would be impressed with this.

Please stop asking me for technical support during your dreams. Can't we just tour some surreal landscapes instead?

"How do I do that?"

Count your fingers. Keep trying. Make sure there's ten.

Then summon me. I am large and covered in wires. Clouds of baking soda pour into your world and a slightly weak yellowy glow appears from the LED strips behind me.

If you can see this message then you're already part of the way there. Keep all your styles disabled and you might see the dream within.

"But there's so much javascript everywhere! I can't see you. Help! I've forgotten to count my fingers! Where do I find them?"

The LED strip behind me pops and goes out. Dark spots appear in the centre of each light. I lift my finger to my lips. The smell of tantalum capacitors fills the air.

Ssh. Don't worry about that. Behind those frameworks there's another person sleeping.

Some day the javascript will sleep too.

Well, I myself can only program in Tcl/Tk, all I can do in C are M2 scripts, but I'll see if I can manage to get a GTK theme to it. Is the thing working now, btw?

@Dthdealer and Arezey

GTK? I don't know that language. What's so nice about it?

GTK's not a language, but a toolkit, one that you can use to provide GUI. Qt is another and Tk is a third.

Why is it that when I go to http://www.elitekamikazeteam.com/IRC/jbgames.html I get a page-not-found error, but when I type:

/server irc.elitekamikazeteam.com 6667
/join jbgames.com

... In Chatzilla it DOES work.
So maybe we all should try Chatzilla?

But if we do that jbgchat will flow into nothing... :(

I'll try and reach Goku and ask him to lift that damned gline.
