07 August 2008 16:37 (UK time) I should probably make this clear for anyone who doesn't know what the hell is going on, in IRC, there is now a bot named 'postbot' that stays silent until someone makes a new post on the forums, then notifies those in the IRC channel of the new post. Essentially the bot refreshes the home page every 8 minutes or so, and checks if there is anything new in the 'Newest Posts' field.
