So, I heard James is working on "Meteor gold" and "Meteor 2 gold". (btw Meteor gold sounds epic)

What are you're suggestions for this project? :)

Well, there is quite a few for Meteor 1. Yes I realize some of these are bugfixes.
The ability to use partially transparent images in sprites.
Sprite to matching the grass or water textures when given the proper RGB value.
Forcing the turret AI type to wait to fire until facing the proper direction (so they don't fire sideways while turning).
A fixed "plane" player type.
Variable sized text triggers as seen in default single player.
Better sprite stacking in the map editor with the ability to give it a "roof" setting.
Fixing of the random crash when modifying a tile's advanced properties from the map editor (I've lost so much progress this way).
Making the "submarine" AI type do something special besides move sideways.
Increased entity limit.
A setting for tiles that blocks the "plane" AI type.
The ability to trigger movies the same way as in Meteor 2.
I don't know if the engine is capable of this, but I would love to have the explosives through walls bug fixed.
Lastly, different armor types.

The only thing I can think of for Meteor 2 is a palate that you can save commands to and then place down like Meteor 1 text triggers.
I think that's it.

Proper multiplayer support for meteor 2 would be friggin' gold enough already for me.

Making the 'indoor sector' setting on M2 actually do something (like prevent aircraft from attacking you in buildings) would be nice.

Also being able to have the player drive a vehicle while the AI operates the weapons or vice-versa would be cool.

Edit: Wow, it's all coming back to me now...

-Stop the ****ing grenades getting stuck in the wall!
-Having enemies be 'stunned' for an instant after they're hit might be interesting.
-Better support for melee weapons?

Some, even basic, scripting support for M1 would be freaking cool, as would proper netcode and ability to use arbitrary liquid textures (i.e. have more than just water, acid, lava).

I hope to see some Meteor 2 stuff for Meteor 1. Asking people to follow player would be awesome, as well as driving stuff :D. And yeah, like Dusk said it would be awesome to create some new liquids.
Also SLOWER MAP SCROLL IN M2 MAP EDITOR! :p

How about JB simply makes the source codes publicly available, so we, the community, can encrust it in Gold?
:choc(^^,)

Well that would give me a good excuse to finally learn how to code.
+1 for open source!

If an enemy was to be stunned everytime it got hit, it wouldn't have time to shoot back.
I was known as Naval War before.
I love and mod Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

So? It's like that in Doom, and it works perfectly fine.

I feel it has the potential to make Meteor firefights less of an "I'll keep shooting you and you keep shooting me and we'll see who dies first" sort of situation. If the player could 'get the drop' on enemies, or vice-versa, the game might become a little more tactical than AAAAUGHHHH I HAVE THE MINIGUN SHOOT EVERYTHING, especially if the awesome new AI james keeps talking about finds its way into this Gold thing.
