Good work

what can i see is the screens are from an updated Beach head.
Looks like the player always face upwards and the map is rotated (no more mouse aiming or it can be used to rotate the map faster?) The zooming stuff is really cool and handy

(panda eyes pwned pics come to my mind, they were similar to these except they were from Foxtrot)

Actually it is neither. These are screenshots of a "prototype" game that I am writing in Java for a college assignment (which is why I have not been around much lately).

The assignment will be finished before Easter.

The graphics are in 2D with some clever shadows to make it appear "bumpy". The screen does rotate around the player and you can zoom in. The regular M2 style of control works too.

Pehaps when college is over I will release this project for someone (who likes Java) to develop.

James

I was about to point out that it was running in java before you beat me to it.

So there might be a meteor game on free flash game sites?

Yes I would like to see "Play it Now" Meteor 2 some time, that would be great.

The test shown above is a Java application whereas a web-based version would need to be an Applet. Not sure how external files would work.
