There comes a peeping sound when I play Meteor.
It is only when I play the game. It is not there when I am at the game's main menu etc.

I don't know if the following information is important or not, but I include it, just in case.
I have Windwos XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3.

About my computer:
Intel Core Quad CPU
Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz
2.40 GHz, 2,00 GB RAM

Thanks to everyone that are willing to help me out :)

Does it persist when you've got the sound and audio turned down in the sound menu?

Does it happen in a blank new map you've made?

Try holding the C key. It should show you every sound that is happening at once. Is that sound on there?

Here's a weirder question: Where does the sound come from? From your sound installation, or from your screen (literally)?
If you turn off your monitor, do you still hear the sound?

To clear this up a bit: I've had this with certain parts of several applications too, on several computers, that there's a slight peeping sound coming out of the screen. It doesn't stop if you turn off the sound, but it does when you turn off the screen.
Really odd. Dunno how it's caused.

EDIT: And iirc, on some computers it occured during meteor gameplay too.

This link is dead. It's only still here because, err... yknow, it's some sort of... memorial.
