Discovered a very reliable way to make land mines using tiles:

-First off, Draw out two tiles. The first one looking like a land mine, and the second one looking like the destroyed landmine, or a crater or something.

-Make the land mine tile have an advanced special trigger. (Change to used tile and trigger explosions on all link tiles.)

-Your Used Tile will be the crater. Your Link Tile will be the crater also, as though with the used link tile.

The only issues with this is that it harms 30hp, and that cant be changed. The explosions affect other races, but the races cant trigger the land mine. This idea will be used in my mod.

Yes, it works well but it's useless against the enemy until you explode the mine near an enemy (suicide activity?). I can simply avoid the mines though if it's very dense it's a harder job.
Think of something like this:

where '.' is land and 'O' is mine

True, its not really supposed to be used on the enemy, though it would come in handy for missions in which you are stranded on a mine field.

In my mod, I made the land mine tile look like a nearly invisible bulge in the ground (as if the mine were buried lightly underground), so that careless players may run into them by accident.

This landmine stuff is really good!
Spot the 5 remaining mines =D


I've set it to explosives but it had too large blast radius so I've made it land again.

Yeah, I found it pretty neat too.

Theres 3 mines behind the forcefield near the back door, and another one just north of you near caution tape, and one in betwee those trees =D.

I came up with it while creating a "Suicide Button" in which the used tile and link tile is the same as the suicide button tile.

My upcoming mod has a lot of other cool tile features as well.

i know how to do a land mine... or something like that :p. Make a new race a black dot, like a fly. make it to a gun defense with pretty high speed and give it a gun with explosive ammunition but with low range. now it will not move but only shoot those takes a walk over it, and hurt it self do death. give the mine 1hp and let bullet past over(not bullet stopi'n). set it to neutral and it killz everyone, set it to badguy and it kills only you :( set it to goodguy and use it to defense...

True I like the idea a lot. me_mantis reproduced something much like that in his afghanistan mod.

I was just getting creative with tile making, and it doesnt make any races, so that you can have as many as you ant without overloading the map.

I found a problem in those mines (raze) they wont shoot directly if their neutral... :)
