How do you make a .txt file convert to a .sc? I've tried just renaming it, but it doesn't seem to work, I've tried a program (which I believe I found on this site...) and it's still a .txt file = no effect.

I'm getting insane! ( pretty easy accomplishment :p )

EDIT: Perhaps I should tell what I'm trying to work: I'm trying to get a car to become unlocked, when you step over a place (like in the defense system map), and for now I've come up with this:

#title ""
#author ""

#include meteor2

// functions
export Ole;

// ********************************************************************************
// functions

void Ole()
{
// unlock humvee
SC_SetObjectLocked( 20, 0);
}

But that "0" after 20, what is that for? I just borrowed the template from the defense system map, no idea how it works. :/

Ok. First lets check something.

In windows explorer, go to Tools>Folder Options. Click the 'view' tab and find "Hide extensions for known file types." Now check your sc file. If it says example.txt.sc, then get rid of the .txt.

Is this the problem?

Oh, and:
SC_SetObjectLocked(20,0);
The 20 is the humvee's id, and the 0 is the value. 1 is locked, 0 is unlocked, so you've scripted that correctly.

This person here has got it.

#title ""
#author ""

#include meteor2

// functions
export Ole;

//
//<</A>YOU-HAVE-FORGOT-TO-PLACE-THIS**********************************************
// functions

void Ole()
{
// unlock humvee
SC_SetObjectLocked( 20, 0);
}

The script didn't work you forgot to place "//" into the text file before the stars "*". If there is no "//" before a comment or message, that <b>isn't a script</b>, it doesn't understand it and disables scripting.
