Well, try meteor2/base/system/game/crosshair.pcx. It has the mouse aim

Yes you can, i belive. I think its considered a sprite, so all you do is you have to make frames of it, and put the frames together in the Sprite Editor, and label the sprite as the Xhair in the game.ini file.... im thinking though it will only work with pcx files... and in that case, then no, you wouldnt be able to animate it.

The crosshair is a bitmap not a sprite so it can't be animated.

I will put a note on the todo list to make this a sprite so it can be animated.

Did you know then that the mouse aim light can made to blink? I did that for my mod.

Nice thinking though. Being a non-map light it has all of the light options available (including rotation).

:) I made Antartica levels (even day missions) to night but made the opacity small. Then I changed the colour to dark turgoise and it actually came out pretty well.

Why not just be able to make the mouse crosshair an animated gif? that would be neat.

How so? I would just use MS GIF Animator, It has never given me a problem.
