I have been making shadows on my maps and they arent coming out to well. What I mean is changing a sector to "Sector is shadow: True". The sector appears fine, but when I have objects, or the player object walk under it, they dont become darker, they are lit as if they were normally walking on a lit sector. Any help with my problem?

Ya, i had this same problem too when i was making my gytheron city map. I tried making it a roof sector, but when i did that, it for some reason made the shadow void and set it so it didnt act as a shadow and made it show the texture as a roof and not the shadow :( .

Its another thing to do on JB's list for future versions :).

Yah but I am pretty sure I have seen an object dimmed by a shadow sector before though... what am I doing wrong? (can dim be used as a verb?)

Try making your shadow sector a poassible roof sector.

Only the roof sector shadows show shadow effects on objects.

Darn, Then I guess I'm not doing anything wrong. A roof sector wouldnt make a telephone pole look right, since a roof sectors shadow just redraws the sectors. I'm just going to have to deal with it.
