Nice one!

The wasted sprites are made up from screen shots of the units as they contain weapon mounts etc. There is a whole load of new units going into the game and I find it easier to make all of the wasted sprites together.

In the mean time you can make some yourself and mail them.

That will keep you busy for some time but it should be quite rewarding.

beware: I found a new brush/setting in my favorite image editing program(micrografx photomagic6) which allows for some really cool partical based explosions. I will probably be making wasted sprites for all the 3D looking units, since I have all of their base 3D files.

A few years ago Jasc were litterally giving away Paint Shop Pro 4 on magazine CDs. Perhaps (if you are lucky) you may find a free download somewhere.

I think what be means is that you can purchase the full version at a very reasonable price. :)

Just goto Amazon.com or Ebuyer.com, its amazingly cheap.

FYI: PSP 7, 8 and 9 have proper layer/vector support and run Photoshop plugins. PSP can even work with Photoshop PSD files. Additionally it comes with Animation Shop which allows you to make basic animations and animated GIFs.

Note that PSP 5 has layer/vector support too but 7 is much better (PSP 6 was out for about a week before 7 came out).

James.

PS: It also comes with a book that tells you how to use it!

Nice 1. Problem is that Paint does not support PCX files.

And a whole bunch of other things that generally define the term "image editor".

You tickled me though, great one.

Ya. Example: The older MSN internet service (5.0 and 6.0) are way better than this new 9.0 because 9.0 always crashes. The older ones don't and it is easier to set up. Which one would you want? I say the older kind. (This doesn't go with anything that is being talked about but I just had to do this because it is the a great example lol)

There are a lot of games that run perfectly fine over dialup. The main cause of lagging is not an internet connection speed, it is SLOW COMPUTERS.
About the sprites: How many of you like the airscout destruction sprite or the speed boat sinking sprite?

Groovy, then we could ship the game on DVDs lol.

But we could make a longer animation, cap it at a few megs. The current anim is tiny.
