WOW I'm not in that video, but that is my video =D Now I guess I'm famous =D APOC didn't let me release that video, so I'll have to ask him when I can, but 2 things... A. We had sounds from the game. He made sounds for that. B. Theres a TON more. C. BUY THE GAME! its only $40, and its got my movie on it! D. =D I'll see about sharing that video someplace. E. I'm not sure if we won, but being on the massively downloaded trailer is nice. If we win, we get a prop from a C&C movie(i don't know what). We can't copyright the footage because we sent it to ea, but they only got 3 of the 12 minutes of footage. We will totally be making an outtakes video =D I also got into the C&C hall of fame, with a awesome ss... I won't link to it, but you can easilly find it. Yeah, I was going to re-install Red Alert 1 on my PC and submit a screenshot, but then I remebered how unstable my computer is right now and the fact that I dont have near enough experience to go against all those other pictures right now  If you win the screenshot contest, can you mail me the 7800GTX then XD lol You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

I decided to pop in my CD of TS and take some screenshots of RotD and Icestorm mods (plus Firestorm). My RotD SS was a spin off of a Tiberian Dawn (with the TS engine hehe) battle, and the others were just purly explosive (one of them is an entire screen of different explosions, and the other is a large ion cannon blast in the middle of an exploding arctic base with fire effects everywhere... thats why i loved the icestorm mod, the hellbringer units litterally spew large fire animations all over bases, and couple it with an ion cannon blast in the middle and it makes an awsome screenie )I would post them, but that might DQ me from the competition 8) You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

So who is who then? There is guy on Jetpack and another on the ground. My main concern is which games will run on XP straight out of the box. I concerned about native XP support RA1/CS/Aftermath and C&C TD. The EA forums don't really have a clear answer on this. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

all the Command & Conquer games run on XP with network support NOW. (all you need are a few patches for TD and RA) The game pack has reworked versions of td and ra that work on xp with network support and no patches needed. maybe we should all get together and have a ra1 competition =D In that video, Johnwe blasts off, and my little brother is... Well, I know there are patches for the older games but they are a real pain. Here is how I got RA1 MP to work just in case anyone needs to know... 1. Insert RA1 install CD 2. Make a shortcut on the C drive to the setup.exe on the CD 3. Set the shortcut to run in compatability mode (Win95/98) 4. Do the install. 5. May be a patch here I can't recall? 6. Get Kali and use it to play via TCP/IP, I found the official patches were pretty useless under XP but this may differ for other people. Note when you all connect via Kali, launch the game and then use the standard RA multiplayer to connect. Somehow Kali just makes it all work by running some clever network interface code in the background or something. Anyway it would be nice if it just worked properly out of the box.
