First off, anyone have a nintendo DS? Or play it for that matter...or even like nintendo? And you bash them i will kill you all.

My idea is, what about a version of Meteor for the DS with full touch screen capabilites? I mean just the files and stuff, we would have to get our own SD cards and stuff, but i think it would be so dam cool! What about you guys?

1) I hate the DS (sorry!)
2) James doesn't work for Nintendo, nor does he know how to program it.

1) YOU SOB!! Why do you hate it!?!?!?!
2) I know he dosent, you really just need to compress them into a right size and reprogram things for the touch screen and a few other buttons.

I think the touchscreen games so far are overrated. ( <= 2005 )
Meteor3 would make a great portable touch screen game imo.
Dpad = move
touch = aim / interact
other buttons = weapon switching, etc.
DS has 3d hardware, so shrouders would be speedy

tangent: The nintendo revolution control system looks awesome.

Doing that requires a commercial contract, and that means:

-M2 not being freeware
-Might cost alot of money that only companies can afford to make it for DS
-It probibly wouldnt run to well on it performance wise ^_^

i doubt its going to happen, shockdrop, nice idea though.

The DS isnt looking too good right now, since a lot of the games dont make much use out of the touch screen. What the DS needs is more first person shooters. When i played metroid prime on that thing, I was in awe.

It will. Have you seen Archaic Sealded Heat? That has the best graphics EVER. And we have Electroplakten, nintendogs, MPH, Meteos, Polarium, and a buch others that use the screen alone. And we have better games then psp.

nintendo pwns. It just does. I don't have, and have never gotten console game. I think computer are just so far ahead, that getting a console is a waste of time.

Im glad you agree nintendo pwns, but what of the revolution? You cant say that its not farther ahead then computers. You cant get anything like what the rev controller can do.

HTF do you use those da m tags?!?!?!

I have not seen the Revolution, but I must say that it will best the xbomb 360 and the played station 3.
If they get good games on it, they can get back a following, but if not, it may lil kiddy toy like the gamecube.
About pc's being better. Check this stuff out, and tell me if you disagree.

Its only 3 dvd cases tall and should be able to beat the 360, ps3 isnt really much of a worry...

Well, 360+PS3 are the main ones competeing for "over all power and online capabilities", while Nintendo once again has decided to take a "different" route.

The Revolution wont be as powerfull as the PS3 or 360 (they even said this right out, and they make a good point about it too), but what they focus on is innovation.

Their controller looks like a remote that can switch between a "normal" top down look to a "SNES type" horizontal look (for the older games you can download free on the Revolution). The "normal" way of the controller will work on the new games for it. Such as, whereever you point the controller on the screen, is where your gun points, where your sword slashes, ect. Which is pretty innovative, but its a risk also because no one knows yet how it will perform in the games and how fun it will be (or stable for that matter).

My opionion?

Assuming i get a console, i dont care about which one is more innovative, powerfull, ect. If they have the games that are appealing to me, and are the coolest, then thats what i get. 2 other factors that can weigh my discion however is also the cost/value, and the convienience (such as, if my friends all have a 360 for LAN, then ill probibly get one too, or if it has a bunch of in-convienient features and problems i wont get it).

... Shockdrop, its not the amount of files and graphics thats the issue, its just that no one is going to actually do it.

I think that he thinks that like:

James has made a really brilliant game, M2.
I'm pretty sure that he's right now working on it to make it better (MP and stuff)
Would he spent his time to make a Nintendo version of M2, that would take ages to do, just for you???

No other want it! (or no one says he wants an NT version)
