Some time ago, someone suggested (maybe I should check up this?) that it would be great to fire two weps at a time (like one in each hand) and now the vehicles fire ALL of their weapons. Don't get me wrong, I do like this feature!
But what if you would like a vehicle to fire only one or two of its guns?

Having my Mi-24 gunship rocking with all three cannons (they're fast!), the two 80mm rocket pods, and burning all four vital Ataka AT-6 tankbusters ain't too fun... Not to mention the toll on the CPU!!

But if you could "group" weapons? Like having the cannons grouped to fire at the same time but not the 80mm pods, which themselves are another "group". And the Atakas? Two individual weps!

I'm not a coder, so I let the brains around here speak!

Well then: GET THEM HERE NOW!!!

Also, what about having the "rotating weapon" setting in the weapon editor? To allow i.e. rotating MGs and fixed rocket pods on the same vehicle.

Or setting them in the object editor -> weapon mounts.

That's even better. Same weps can be used for different purpose on the same vehicle, like two M60s on fixed forward mounts on Huey stubwings and one M60 as a rotating door gun.

This was discussed earlier under the topic of weapon states, and it was never implemented or seriously considered. I think it would be very useful.

I checked a few old threads in both Suggestion Box and Error Reporting and found many sound things (the "white-box-instead-of-weapon-sprite-during-point-of-origin-tweaking" still applies for me, same for you?) which sould be reactiveated before next patch. Let's hope James check 'em through soon.
