Remember all that talk about the 'cartoony' graphics in Naval War's Carnage Galore mod looked so good? Well, I've started a mod that will convert the graphics in the regular M2 to a similar style. It will probably take a while, but what I've got done so far looks pretty good. Though as you can see from the screenshots below, there is still a lot to be done, including the objects and most of the textures. Reminds me more of glock than silenced pistol.

What if we'd make it so that the graphics appear to be drawn with a crayon? Could be pretty funny too.

We could also have cartoonic sounds in it. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Well those graphics look simple enough for my AMAZING (Umm not really) skills to create. I want to take a part too, as soon as I get my trusty ol' computer back! (I'm using someone else's now, and it doesn't have a mouse...) EDIT: Which is Friday or Saturday, BTW.

Thanks for all the help, I wasn't looking forward to doing all the objects myself, as there are over 400 images for them... I've pretty much finished everything but the objects and textures. We could probably start by dividing up the objects and each do a certain part of it...who's helping? Mrazerty, Naval War, Papercut and myself? You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

It's really a matter of finding all the edges on all the sprites, outlining them in black, then finding a medium for colors of the objects, an filling that whole area with that one solid color. It actually wouldn't take all that long as long as people are motivated to do it.

Okay, who wants to work on object-graphics: 'AirlockSign01_01' through 'Car08D_01'? (115 graphics) 'Car09_01' through 'forcefield01_04'? (116 graphics) 'Forklift01_01' through 'RadarBase01_01'? (115 graphics) I'll do 'RaySub01_01' through 'XL901D_01' (116 graphics). I'm dividing this up assuming that four people including myself are working on it, though if anyone else wants to help that's great. I'll attach the weapon graphics I've already made for the amphibious tank, medium tank, heavy tank, doom tank, and MLRS, so that whoever ends up working on those can match the vehicle to the turret. @Naval War You can start re-drawing some objects, after all them get done it's really just the textures left to do. I've already started on some objects and textures. All the weapons, powerups, and hud sprites are finished. The pistol hud actually is the M2 version, but I think I'll add a silencer to it (it is supposed to be a silenced pistol, after all) Here's another screen showing all the weapon hud's, powerups, and the new Sarge trooper. I can make some. After all it's a collab project so if I abandon it like always, it's not lost, it'll just slow down a little

IIRC "pasta" is used once in the game... Don't blame me if I'm wrong, but I *think* in that Mountain Side map in the Arctic Pursuit mission. Then again, I remember something very vaguely bout it, heh.

A few contributions - due to the upload function not working I've hosted them at mffh. Once the forums are fixed I'll upload them here.
Notice the 7z version is smaller - how nice!

@Dthdealer Of course it's smaller; It's competing against Zip. That way it's not hard to win
