Ok, now I have problems about having the custom icon... I tried to have one but the link didn't work and, now I am without one! Is the problem to upload the icon into the "logos" folder? Or what?

In the meantime, James, can you place this as my icon? Plz?

EDIT: 1000th post!

I've been wanting for the custom icons to get back up badly also. I got this great idea of using the icon as a way to give a preview of a weapon I made for ShadowStrike. I call it the bug zapper even though there currently are no bugs planned in my mod. Not that bugs are ever planned. They are expected, but not planned. =D =D =D =D

FIX IT ALREADY! I'm not quite sure why, but this little bug in the forums is incredibly frustrating.

Who knew the little things that people dont even think about can piss you off so much if theyre not there?

I know that in php even I haven't been able to do uploads that work... I am guessing in ASP it is the same difficulty of storing custom files on the server. Don't complain so much about it.

Well, we had custom icons before the system outage, and I assume backuping would give it back...

You can read a textfile using ASP, but I quess it doesn't help.

Theres a one day period after they make a post and automatically you assume something is up?

And the icon changer is now repaired. What a relief!

Custom icons and attachments were not working for a few days.

This is because the jbserver web site's files got corrupted and had to be uploaded, during this period no files on-line could be changed as the changes would have been lost.

Everthing is back to normal now.

Do you have anyone helping you? If you did then problems such as these wouldn't last as long. By the way, what do people think of my Bug Zapper (icon).

Hee Hee.. Maybe if you do some extra outages like this in meteor 2, people would appriciate it more as well =D

Glad to see that its all working now =D
I think I'll just click a few of your google adds and maybe even change my icon

Actually the time element is defined by how long it takes to upload serveral gigabytes of data. Basically it takes severval days to upload even on a high speed 512KB upload.

If we did not take off-server backups then there would be no data at all. The server now backs up locally too even though the recent difficulties were caused by a chain of exceptional cirsumstances.

Anyway its a free service and I have to pay a monthly rental fee for the server, so if people want to help out...

Dude, the issue has been fixed a while back. Try to make posts in the recent posts section. I've had enough looking back at old threads.
