Meteor will not even start up on my computer. When I boot up the game (v.1.3, unpatched), the loading screen runs fine, but crashes when the title screen is supposed to come up and goes back to my default resolution (1024x768).
I am running an old setup with Windows 95, 233mhz and 32 megs of RAM (my newer computer is on the fritz for the time being, so I can't try Meteor 2 on it). I tried adjusting the hardware settings and fooling around with the config file, but nothing seems to work. Perhaps there is an incompatibility with Win95? or maybe the system requirements are too high for this clunker. I'll try running it on my other computer after I fix it, but some help would be appreciated.

Windows 95? Wow.

Try running the debug version to determine the problem, more info here...

(Please don't send me the entire message log, the last 10 lines is fine!)

Meteor 2 requires DirectX 7 or above.

I had the same problem on my old CP in my room and i solved it by removing the music (unless you can get DX on your CP, BTW, my CP with this problem couldnt play sounds so removing the music wasnt such a catstrofic [cant spell =P] move).
