I couldn't get these forums to work with my Mozilla (1.7). On all the screens that have buttons like "Proceed" or "Login", clicking on these buttons has no effect. I have no idea what's wrong :(

These buttons use simple Java.Script, your browser much be capable of running such script.

I am no Mozilla expert, I guess its a security thing, surely Mozilla can run Java.Script?

Does anybody else know anything about Mozilla?

Mozilla is built on Netscape technology, so it should work if Netscape does...

Maybe the popup-handling code has something in it that only works with IE? You could try lessening the importance of pop-ups in your engine, if you are so inclined.

Its not a question of popups, its question of Java.script. You see Java.Script is used all over the place (i.e. for signing up and for validating new posts). Of course it is possible to write a popup free version but its a bunch of work. I may look into it but it will take a toll on Meteor 2's development!

As far as I am aware the Java.script should work on most browsers (my set requirement is both IE and NS). This script works fine of PDAs (ok so its IE), its amazing that it does not work on a fully grown PC running Mozilla.

Of course I want the forum to work for everyone.

James.

PS. Sorry about putting a dot between Java and Script but the forum filter removes the word "Java.Script" (if you see what I mean).

Please note that the "Proceed" link is not a pop up, it simply checks if the box is checked.

I found something out: In the Java.Script Console Mozilla says that LoginForm is not defined. Maybe it should read document.LoginForm.submit() or document.forms["LoginForm"].submit() or something like that.

Well I took the time to make the forums non-dependant on JS so that more people can use them.

Enjoy.

Cool stuff. Although I think pretty much any browser out there does support JS. Anyway, it works now :-)

Nice well you should be able to upload an icon now too, well that could be browser dependant (requires multi-part form data). It would be interesting to know if it works.
