What may I suggest is that the water should look like the current nextgen water like this http://www.gameogre.com/reviewdirectory/upload/Sauerbraten.jpg Seriously we aren't living in the old medieval times anymore, I don't like old texture water imo, I just hope Meteor 3 will have realistic water implemented in it ![]() ![]() btw the news hasn't been updated for a long time, are Rod 3D and Meteor 3 still in progress? I was gonna do something "swirly" with the water but I am not sure about bump mapped reflections. As it is all OpenGL now there is a lot more scope for visual improvements without drops in performance. Rod3D is not being developed until M3 is done. Sure, anything that makes the water and similar liquids more realistic, acid should look like water but glowing green, Lava would be different, something like this. http://tombraidergirl.net/help/tra/natla03.jpg All glowing and fiery looking. I see, Now Rod 3D has now been halted til M3 comes out, thats cool, will Meteor 3 have many bugs fixed as well that M2 had? I know it used to crash often when I try to make mods or edit with M2, in-game it was mostly fine. And my last question for now is if M3 and Rod 3D will be different, seeing as Rod 3D will be developed after M3 what new features will it have? will it have a more enhanced engine of M3? (This makes M3 prototype) I think it's too early to ask these questions I guess, seeing Rod 3D is not on focus. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Actually what I see is that Rod3D was the prototype and M3 is gonna be the actual game.. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

True, very true but if that means that M3 will be finished earlier this means Rod 3D will have it's engine more enhanced then M3, I know M3 started from Rod 3D. (use the same 3D engine) You need to login to create posts in this thread. |
