It's gonna be my 16th B-Day in November. Gee, I'm looking out for this. Imagine: Then I can "Officially" play 16+ games. Not that it would make that much difference with now, but still ![]()

@Canuck Modern games only have 18+ ratings, because now the higher the rating, the better it sells =) But I have some old PS1 games in a closet that have 16+ and even the more rare 15+ ratings =)

Aha. It's all about the money then. Actually, come to think of it, I made a mistake up there. The ratings around here are 13+ and 17+, not 18. And I believe there's a 20+ rating too, but as far as I know no game has ever recieved it. ![]() Edited: 30 August 2008 19:46 You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Canuck wrote: You'd actually be very surprised. I don't know if they use ESRB ratings where you live, but here in the US, there are plenty of games that received age 20+ ratings. (A recent and more controversial one being Grand Theft Auto San Andreas) http://www.esrb.org/ratings/search.jsp Just go to the left and go to Search by Rating, and click on 'Adults Only'. I think 99% of these games are not sold in regular retail stores though, You probably have to go out of your way to find them. I wouldn't bother wasting my money on such rubbish though, even if you are looking for a good time. Edit: another interesting fact, According to ESRB via seraching, the ratio between 'Teen', and 'Everyone' rated games to 'Mature 17+' games is almost exactly the same. It seems like you don't even have a choice, if you are picking a game at random, there's a 50/50 chance you will pick a game that you need to be 17 years or older to play it.

Yeah, the use ESRB here too. Although you're right, I've never seen AO rated games in stores, and I agree, most of it is rubbish if you're looking for entertainment. M2 would probably get a T rating if it was reviewed by these people, and it's an awesome game. ![]() You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Almost no blood, it's not scary, it's got "cute" graphics... at least not the regular games. Because I'd think different about for example Mankind and R... oh sorry XD
