James, now that you're active on the forums again I have to ask you a question. You've got 3 sites: jbserver, jbgames and jbcode. But why do you pay for three domains, while you can put everything on 1 site? For example, www.jbserver.com? Thought that would spare a lot of money...

Actually I have a ton of domains (dozens in fact), a load of them are used for the games. First, when I buy a .com I get the co.uk too (if possible) and vice versa. - jbserver is the domain of my web server. The other sites are generally hosted there. - jbgames.com is my games site. - jbcode.com used to be source code stuff, it needs some work. - doomarchive.com is our Doom levels site. - renegadezone.com is our Renegade mods site. - jbssoftware.co.uk was my old company's web site. - palaceit.com is my new company's web site. To answer your question, basically once you get a domain never let it go else you wont get it back. I forgot to renew www.jbgames.co.uk once and look what happened to it! Every 2 years I try to back order it but no luck yet. James You need to login to create posts in this thread. |
