This is a setting that I'd like to see in the future for objects. So that they aren't firing as soon as you are within range. I'd like them to wait a second or a half before they start pouring bullets down your throat. It would also be nice if they would take pauses every once in a while for about a second, like shooting in bursts, rather than firing as fast as they can constantly. It makes some objects harder than they should be. I believe me_mantis made a post about this a while ago, but having an objects seeing range be different than he range of their projectile, allowing melee combat enemies. Of course these settings could be placed in the object editor. Reaction time: 0-1000 (100 = 1 second) [Default is 0] Shoot in bursts: True/False [Default is False] Burst Time: 1-1000 (100 = 1 second) [Default is 50] Sight Range: 1-64000 [Default is 500]

Excellent suggestion! I have something to add...when a unit is guarding, can we add a random amount of seconds of the unit holding still? When they continue to rotate over and over it gets repetative...and maybe set a rotation speed? Odd that they have to slowly rotate from a guarding position to fire on you.
