Looks impressive. Some how that is how i thought it would look like. Yet I'm curious to know why this popped up so soon and why the joined date is messed up. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Hmm... As soon as I saw those screenshots, especially the chinook 3d model up close, I feel this happens to have something to do with me_mantis? I may be wrong, but I do happen to know that me_mantis happens to be the only one here who gets so involved with 3d modeling. Some of the screenshots just look like decent sector work, I could recreate some 3d architecture myself. We'll soon find out.

woah... that's cool. That looks like base Foxtrot, and no I didn't model it. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Oooh, quite interesting how no screenshots or text are longer displayed on the site. I didn't think of it to sound much like James when it read "METEOR 3 IS GOING TO PWN!!!1" Honestly, I'm not looking too forward to M3. Seeing how M2 was compared to M1, It was a big leap to a different style of gameplay. I'm afraid of the giant step between M2 to M3. I figured M1 to be a lot like the style of doom. Kill every enemy, press switches, grab keys, open doors, and reach the exit switch. I figured M2 to be much more like Half-Life, in which the game is very linear, and forced to experience the same every time you play it. M2 didn't quite give the same fun factor as M1 did (at least for me.) though it did offer some stunning results.

I agree that Meteor 1 and Meteor 2 are different. I enjoyed playing both a lot, but I did notice that the gameplay isn't the same. Meteor 2 is much harder, and unless perhaps you keep using the 'fire blindly on not-yet-active units' trick, you are required to use the 'always mouse look' option, and aiming while firing and moving at the same time can be quite tough. Overall, I might have liked Meteor 1 more than Meteor 2, but I enjoyed Ravagers of Time (which uses the M2 engine) more than anything else ever made for any Meteor engine.
