Viewing Thread: Web Server Outages

15 March 2006 08:20 (UK time) I am sure many people have experienced problems accessing this web site over the past 4 or 5 days. Some people may also notice that some recent posts have been lost. The web server crashed last week and has since been replaced. The data (including the forums data) is being replicated from a remote back that was taken on 10 March (its about 4 days out of date). The other jbserver hosted sites and downloads will gradually come back on-line as the data is restored, it is quite a slow process as there are several gigabytes of data. Good thing we take back ups. 15 March 2006 14:39 (UK time) Yes, I have recognized this. Day 1: Aleks goes to check JbServer. Aleks can't get in and thinks the link is broken. Day 2: Aleks goes to check JbServer. Aleks gets a little conserned. Day 3: Aleks goes to check JbServer. No respond. Aleks takes contact to me_mantis Day 4: Aleks goes to check JbServer. No respond. 15 March 2006 21:53 (UK time) Finally, it's back. While the fourms were out I was talking and sort of helping me_mantis with rtss. As in making a map and testing stuff. 16 March 2006 01:30 (UK time) I've been taking the time to work on me mod, 4 new maps were finished in that time. Check the screenshots on the M1 forum, (seems like a lot of people forgot about that forum =P) There is presumably an expected 40-50 maps (with 2 boss battles) that are going to be within the mod, look forward to hours of fun! *Papercut Pro-Murder.
