I just finished a rampage that took over 24 hours over about 3 months to build a theater in a friends barn. We're doing a movie night tomorrow on our huge 30' 16:9 screen, complete with HD projector and surround sound. I'm gonna probably play a bit of Meteor 2 on it, just because.

It's 26x14.625 feet, and when you sit up close, it's intense. (this pic was taken before I adjusted the projector)

I beat snail.map (which is considered the hardest M1 map of all time) without quick saving :D (second time!)
Notice how much time I had left... 3 seconds. :p :p



(Ignore that message... it's just a joke which assumes that the average player can only beat it by quicksaving all the time :D)

I broke my record time. This time I had 12 seconds left. :p
I was quite lucky that I got enough rockets, tho I didn't get the flamethrowser at the end. That sucked, but at least I had enough spare uzi bullets cause of the rather big amount of rockets I got. :p

Yeah, there is a fast team v team mode. I'm not sure if it's in the current release or not.
I'm basically trying to remove all of the sector triggers, because they seem to crash the game the most.

hahaha.. Now I've actually rewritten the leveling up code, and it's all snazzy, and it seems to be working nicely in multiplayer, and single player. I've also added a few new features for single and multiplayer. I'm going to try to test it out this weekend, and release next week.

I've gotten to level 6 in the PvP match a few times now. Crashing seems to be low. Scripting needed to make a new PvP map is also very low now.

I'm also considering updating the shop scripts so you don't buy more than you can hold (like RTSS)

I'm also considering updating the game with some fancy features you don't expect at all.

I'm also celebrating creating "a dripping light" fluid simulation that makes a light look like it's dripping light. (I did this in ubuntu to leverage the 64bit cpu and 6GB of mem I've got)

I celebrate my way on getting MAP40 in CRATER, without cheating at all! (just 908294820820980928690280692809842 save games) Untill I ended up with 11 cells, and there was 5 Elite aliens.
I took BAKUP.sav and ended up in MAP37, although that savegame file hasn't got good chances neither =/
Although the detailing of the maps is very awesome.

The aliens part in Crater seriously lacks ammo, lol... although it tends to be a bit easier on your second way through (I guess because you know what to expect and how to prepare).

I'm gonna go carve a pumpkin, and then make a music track to edit an extreme 3D sports video I shot to... and then edit it on my new 24" crt display which is totally epic. currently testing at 1280x800@140Hz, it plays meteor 2 at 70fps, and looks great. It was originally $2300, but it got a scratch on the side of the screen, and it's like 10 years old, so I got it for $30. It also runs 2304x1440@80Hz which is pretty dang huge. It makes my pictures look super clear, and is epic for my 3D shutter shades.

I got a 2304x1440 res monitor for $30... I guess that's rich though =)
I haven't played meteor 2 in that res, that'd be insanely huge.

1280x800 at 140hz is perfect and smooth.
