You see, in M2, Ash (A normal human) gets a rocket straight into his face, and survives. But do the same with the Rod3D tank and he instantly dies. AN ARMOR TANK, FOR CHRIST'S SAKE, IS WEAKER THAN A POOR LITTLE HUMAN. Hmm... well that's not what I call realistic =D

Well, in games like Ghost Recon, tanks can only take one rocket...but maybe Ash is some kind of superman, and he can take it, but the Rod tank is just a normal tank. Actually, I increased the damage on the rockets for this reason. Edited: 05 August 2008 17:03 You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Well, the tank has gasoline in it, how else could it go forward? Then it gets shot with a rocket, setting the gasoline on fire and destroying the tank. That means the rockets must be a little weaker in games than in real life... You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

is there a way for a normal human to survive a direct rocket hit?

Hmm... maybe... If he gets the missile in his belly, with some luck his brains would be spared and then simply put them in a different body and he survives! =P =P

Armour-piercing weasels? Anyway, to get back to PetiX's question (is there a way for a normal human to survive a direct rocket hit?), I did hear a story about some guy in WWII who took a 105mm shell to the chest and survived, although I think it failed to explode. I think the best thing to do is just increase the damage on the rockets to 100 if you want it to be realistic. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

well rockets are still pretty dangerous, however it takes about 3 of them to bring ash down.

tank? ash is a 1-man army of doom... well, also not only can he survive rockets, he can shoulder a whole armory. Is it me, or can he somehow walk thru a bunch of minigun turrets and still not die after any normal person woulda been pincushioned? oh i know! he wears experimental superarmor designed to negate even sonic bursts...

Hmmmm... you're right, the walking armoury thing is a little unrealistic too. Maybe there should be an option that only lets you carry one pistol, one machine-gun/rifle, and one heavy weapon (this includes the minigun), or else you have to drop one. A limited inventory you say?? Yeah, I suppose that's a more clear and concise way of putting it. Edited: 16 August 2008 15:56 You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Why a game have to be realistic? According to me that's not compulsory.

Fair enough. Actually, now that I think about it, the vast majority of shooters are very unrealistic. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |
