06 May 2008 15:17 (UK time) So this is the thing going on: I and James were discussing about an IRC chatroom for Meteor/Rod last week. What we thought is that we'd have a chatroom at QuakeNet, and I put Outcasts on hold to develop a small client for that, for the earlier one simply sucked IMO. The new client would be a LOT more bandwidth-friendly, and has a nice load of new stuff, for example better userlist, revamped handlers, widget styles (OK that's not too important, but still =P) and so on. One thing that I'd need is a name for the channel. I've thought of #meteor3, #rod3d, #jbgames, #jbserver and so on. I can't decide myself, so I'm asking you guys on this. If you do not want to use the client because you want to use xxx instead, then be sure to know the channel is on QuakeNet (irc.quakenet.org) port 6667, channel #jbgames. 02 June 2008 03:29 (UK time) You need to open it with an IRC chat program. If you use the program that is attached to the opening post, jbgchat.exe, it automatically loads up the chatroom. There's a pretty high chance that no one will be in the room, at least while it's new. Once you arrive, stay logged in as long as you can until someone arrives. *Papercut Pro-Murder. Legalize Crime.
