10 December 2006 09:29 (UK time) Meteor FE (Front End) replaces the Meteor Mod Manager for Meteor 1 and the Meteor 2 Manager applications. FE is a single application created using C# Express. It handles all Meteor games and will be updated for each new version. It will be capable of managing mods as well as launching single and multiplayer games with a number of options. The first version of FE will be released in December 2006 to support support Meteor 1 v1.32 and Meteor 2 v1.3. You need to login to create posts in this thread.

16 December 2006 22:26 (UK time) Yes it will be a mod manager and game launcher for all of the Meteor games. As it may also do Escape 2 and Rod etc in the future perhaps I should rename it to the jbgames Game Manager or something? I really an open to ideas on the name so suggestions are more than welcome. The application will be a standalone native app, ie it will not be written in dot net as previosly suggested and it should not require any DLLs. As for load speed I am not sure if that refers to the speed of the launcher loading or the actual games (namely M2). The launcher will be released alongside Meteor 2 v1.3 which me and mantis are testing and working on. I am hoping to get this out before Christmas but it depends if we can nail all of the bigs before then. It is proving to be far more stable than the current version of the game. 15 February 2007 22:46 (UK time) I'd like to have it too since i got problems with m1 mod mgr (higher than 1.0 (the only that works for me)) and m2 mgr. I cant start these apps. FE would solve this problem (no required dlls, ..)
