The forum is out of date, but I will check this out.

I have included the visitor counter now, it doesn't include my test visits.

I know. It does not work for anyone, the link is dead. Here is a good reason: recovery. I had a few days ago a recovery on the comp. I will figure the page online, somehow. I will make something up!

Well, I planned to have forums to talk about Antartica (nicely up to it's name!). Let's leave these mega-forums to the other topics.

If you are making a website, I suppose Bravenet.com. Bravenet includes lots of features as:

* guestbooks
* forums (the bad forums were the others, this is recommened)
* hit counters
* mini polls
* FAQs
* downloads
* guestmaps
* vote casters
* chat room
O.OBIG EYES!!

Have a look.

Oh, and btw, the antartica link works now. And the reason wasn't recovery, it was that it was out of date.

:O < says: whoops!

That is not true. There are plenty of mods that have their own websites, usually TC's.

Sence M2 is not really out in the open yet, a website isnt going to do much except for mod hosting and information that you aren't going to post here. But, once 1.1 comes out and it starts going on websites, and it's popularity grows, a website to hold all conversations/information about the mod would be more appropriate.

Yes that will be meteormods.com then lol. We can link it back to his mod site.

I don't see any problems with a mod having a web site. This is especially good for downloading mod files (having the control to change them) and talking about those hundreds of little mod specific things. Its also great if there are many people working on the same mod.

So OK the site will be very quiet for a while (well its new), as the mod gets bigger the better the site will too.

I posted my first web site in 1998 with 1 game (Escape 2), in my first month or so I got about 10 visits, all from myself lol.

Well, let's see it when Antartica Version 1.0 is released, then I think there will be more visits.

I was thinking, what if users could make a special thread that they could use as their mod's page, to discuss it. When creating and editing their first post, they have another text box below the post textbox. This box would be for HTML, displayed at the top of the thread's page, useful for pictures, downloads, etc. This way, everyone's signed in already, and everyones used to the forum engine. What do you think?
