I have tried to make a .357 magnum but i cant figure it out for the m2 beta. I made the projectile, the weapon,the power up and the ammo. I am not sure exactly what to do for all of them to link them together. COuld anyone help me?

That's easy, you first go into the powerup editor and add your powerups (ammo and gun itself), then after that you go into the projectile editor and make the projectile with the linked object being the ammo powerup. Then you go into the weapons editor and make a weapon using the weapon powerup name for the linked object text. Understand?

Yes, first you must create the item itself in the items editor. Then go to the projectile editor to create the actual shots fired, and then finally, enter the weapons editor to create the weapon.



*Note: When in items editor, be sure to make the bullet <b>and the</b> weapon itself, and have powerups for both, if you want them to be able to get picked up and have ammo picked up.

wow your tutorial makes it seem like making a weapon takes hours upon hours well i think ill just stick to modding m1 instead of m2 :)

No, it does not take hours to make a weapon, only about 5 minutes if you have the pictures made (about 2 minutes for meteor 2 too load and 3 minutes to make the sprite, weapon, and bullet, and items). I usually make all the items first and then progress down starting with sprites, projectiles, weapons, and then objects.
