If you are planning on making some maps for Meteor 2 (for the actual game) then please say so in this thread within the next few days. This way I will know who is making maps thus allowing me to wait for them all to come in. James. Added Send your maps here! Edited: 03 January 2005 11:57 You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Yes is it, I have added a note in my post at the top of this page. If you send it to meteormods it will go to me_mantis (which means that he has to forward it to me next time he checks his emails). You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Because "A.R.S.E." (without the .s) is blanked out automatically by the forum software. The same way "C.R.A.P." (again, without the .s) is blanked out by the forum software, so if you try to write, "I scraped the paint off my car", it'll look like, well, like what it looks like.... You only see the s, e, and d, in that word, because the c, r, a, and p are blanked out when they appear together in that form/fashion/formation. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Agh, thats a shame. To be honest I have been slacking off, I have about 3 maps in prgress but I never get to them. (I am too focused on JDoom and the Retribution engine where I will "possibly" make the First Person version of Meteor)

Heh alright. Well editing for JDooM can be time-consuming and exhausting, so only go for it if you really mean it. Sounds like the Retribution engine is probably the same.... You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

You can still send them in. They have to have some sort of objective, but not really a story. Basically, when you send your maps to JB he will place them in order/edit them/manipulate them to follow the story line. He wont completely butcher your maps up though so dont worry ![]() If you want to make a new map for M2, read the story for M1 and the un-offical sequal mod "WW3" to get a background for your levels to base off of. You dont have to though, it'll just help whoever is orgnizing the maps up. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Indeed, connecting the modern Meteor world with the past is a good way to make a scene in your map. Use knowledge of your enemies of what they do, so be sure to read mission briefings and stories to get an idea.

Good Call, didn't even think of that, but the map editor doesn't offer any help inside the program. Maybe if there is a ReadMe in there or something would help.
