Nice to see another potential mod on the horizon.

The Meteor 2 Manager (which also creates mods) will be available soon. This will make it much easier to get started.

Ya me 2. I never can get around to makin' my mod. I have way to much school work and I signed up for basketball (practices 5 days a week)so like there is no time to make a mod NOW. Maybe when I have time in the summer I will start. BY the way WW2 mods sounds awesome. If u have the time (not like me) go for it. I am w/ u on this 100%. :)

How about someone making a mod that is now,

like abrams tanks and apcs and helicopters. Modern stuff.

the soldiers would have m16 and shotguns and sniper rifles and stuff.

Meteor struck me as a futuristic game cause there spaceships and all these wiers enemies. A WWII mod would be cool too like the one your making. You should try to reinact battles that really happened. and have the weapons rom that era.

M2 and M1 is sorta like a clash of timelines, like Duke Nukem and other games like that, except more military based. I am going to make a mod called "The Enlisted" based off of a modern-day-FPS game, so i pretty much will make it as realistic as possible, and it will have a modern day setting.

It will be less tank/vehiclular combat and more infintry based combat too (there will be humvees and tanks yes, but the player would be an infintry, not a tank operator)

It struck me that M2 was more of a covert ops game unlike M1, that should be useful in making mods now.

Actually I am not too into WW2 games, I used to in the time when the first Medal of Honor game came out a few years ago, but they keep making more and more and its becoming real repetitive. Just from those game I understand about everything that happened in WW2 and playing it over again gets a little boring since there are rarely any surprises.

Thats why I am a fan of modern/future time based games, because you can make anything happen because its never been invented yet, like the Gravity gun on HalfLife 2, the guns with the ammo left in clip printed on it on Doom 3, the Energy Sword on Halo 2, or the TSX Fusion Cannon on M1. WW2 games always have the same weapons since you can't change the past (Thompsons, MP40s, M1 Garands, Panzershrecks) but in the future you can set anything. (Ion Spreaders, Laser targeted rocket launchers, BFG9000s, or Brute Plasma Pistols

you could say undiscovered prototypes / secret reverse engineered alien technology in a ww2 setting.

The automatic rocket launcher with laser sounds is abit un-convincing though :D
