Guys, when an object is destroyed, whats the best trick to make an explosion over the dead sprite? I already know that you can create an explosion directly in a sprite's frame and have the last frame on -1, but is there anything more crafty? You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Well, I guess that the best way is set an explosion over on the object, like TNT. Just make it harmless. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

You could make the object in a 3D program, and have a good death animation. Or you could have the object explode when it dies, and drop 3-7 extra explosion objects which are killed by its explosion, and then they explode also. If the object is mission critical, its always fun to throw in a cutscene, but beware: cutscenes DO NOT play in mp/coop games. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |
