That's because hardly anyone looks at the M1 forums any more.

I do. But i cant answer that question. And BTW, upgrading Algero will do nothing unless JB decides to re-make the entire game again under the new Algero version :\. Give us some of you CP specs, you might not be up to par on the reqirements.

Solution: Get a new computer or Operating System (you didn't mention what OS you have BTW).

Hmm, I also have Win. 98 SE, but all version of Meteor run on my PC.... I wonder, does it say you're missing alleg40.dll when you try to run the Meteor game(s)?

Yes but does the Game (Meteor or Meteor 2) say that you're missing the "alleg40.dll" file? I know it's in your directory but what does the game tell you when you try to launch it?

Oh.... That's a slightly different matter then.... Hmm I'll try to search and see what I can come up with as far as fixing that problem....

I would reccomend simply, reinstalling the game. If that doesn't work, it may be your graphics card or the model of computer your using.

Reinstalling might not do the trick. It sounds like it might be a driver problem....

i got some drivers for my 3dfx voodoo2 card, except the readme.txt file is in a foreign language ergo i don't know how to install them.

I am using DirectX 8 on my machine which is a 266Mhz Pentium 2

reinstlling the game or rebooting my cpu doesn't help either

Send me the readme file and I'll translate it to English for you (hopefully it's not too big).

Send it to: gee_dougg@hotmail.com....

266Mhz!!! Are you sure, that could be the root of your problem. I have a 865Mhz processor and M2 runs slowly on my computer. At your processor speed I would think M2 wouldn't run at all, unless of course I am wrong.

U must have a crappy chipset lol! I have 500 MHz, and M1 and M2 (unless its a battle heavy moment with 20+ units blasting each other) runs fine. And, not to mention my online FPS that i play (min requirements for that game is 1.2 GHz), plays fine, with the exception of every-now-and-then PC lagging for a few seconds.

yeh, I proably do. I got my computer from MPC and with all the problems I had with it, I highly doubt I'll ever get one form there again, it already crashed 3 times and without the Microsoft Disks (which they say they gave us but in reality we never got them) we had to pay to get it fixed. I hopping to get a really fast laptop soon for college which I'll make sure can run any game extremly fast.
