What are your bigger plans for 2005 JB?
What other games do you want to make?
Do you have any plans/ideas for a meteor 3.x?

There will be a big new game released next year, I don't really know much more than that.

Well just look at all the games you've made. You made ROD, Go For It, Bubbles, Meteor, and a beta for Meteor 2. That is already insane if you think about due to all the time, scripting, finding things (like music, sound fx., etc.), and the response to a game that is sooooooooo cool that I am amazed. And the cool part it's FREE! (But the only thing is, I only got 1 very close to 2 people I have shown the game to that downloaded it.)

Though it would be awesome to think about a "Future Meteor", all I can say is hope for the best and try to help (if you can) because we all have talent.

No really I don't know much but I have some neat ideas up me sleeve. It may even a mod for M2 as is seems pointless making a whole new engine.

James, have you thought about prying open the Total Annihilation engine?! ;D ;P

Maybe someone should even do a Meteor mod. for Total Annihilation or for a Total Annihilation port out there.... :)

TFO lol. That kinda turned into Meteor. If TFO was not started then we would not have Meteor.

For the record TFO was gonna be an RTS game. The focus then changed to a central character called Ash and the game got called Meteor (I have no idea why I picked that name).

If you look closely at Meteor you will see some strange units. The brown enemy ship that fires rockets is called an FCV (that stands for Flying Construction Vehicle). It was originally designed to drop of buildings, thats why it has a big hole in it.

There are also some buildings like the barracks (the building with 02 written on it) and the wind generators (the very fast spinning dishes).

Anyway it may not be end of the line for TFO, it could be replaced by BFM?

Lets play the what the hell does BFM stand for game, answers in this thread, lol.

ok. That sounds fun.
BFM stands for----

Blasing Forge Machine - a giant circular purple pyramid that emits a spark of delta wave radiation which causes people to go mad.

Nothing - Its so way super top secret that if i told you i'd definatly have to kill you =P

THE Red Code Operation - the letters bfm are used to throw you off.

Billions o' Flamible Maniacs - a horde of unbannible creatures who destroy the worlds comunication systems by posting too much on online forums. (JK)

I don't really know about the other two letters but F definitally stands for forge.

answer:Dunno

ROD:

well anyway, check the news back to somewhere around late 98-early 99 - where it says "Bye bye ROD and hello Meteor" that might be the opposite way around later this or next year, as JB is planning ROD 1.5(check the press releases (2 September 2004))

TFO: check the first news article that was added in 98. It says "TFO is grinding along very well...". Then go up a bit in another article "TFO has been delayed to next year" and further up "TFO gives way to Meteor"
