How far is the game going? Is it almost finished?

Getting along, the terrain system pretty much done (bar lighting and other cherries).

The AI is working but its being worked on right now. The AI system is very complex, also the player is a unit. When you get in a vehicle your unit is removed and you become the vehicle before being added again when you alight.

There is no scripting/trigger stuff yet but that kinda bolts on later.

You said it would be done late summer. Time is ticking.

Also please stop playing Doom 3. (I know it is a good game)

M2 is coming along well, I am getting the scripting done. As you know Jon you may have already had a glimpse at the game in an earlier state.

I posted some new screenshots 2 days ago at www.jbgames.com/games/meteor2

I can't deny playing a lot of Doom 3 lately, I have almost finished it.

I still find plently of time to do Meteor 2, it will be available "when its done" although I have overshot my planned beta deadline of last weekend.

Thats alright, Although the pre-beta isnt really much worth playing besides the Map editor, I'm still willing to wait as long as it takes to make this game sweet.

Although I've never played doom 3 yet, I know its a great game. When/if I get Doom 3 I'll understand how addictive it is.

Yeah I finished Doom 3 yesterday, its a good game but it does not have any replay value unless they add coop.

Well he could do that but he could get in trouble with the law! ID Software is a Copyright company that made a great game, But its not available for resale. What I mean by that is that its illegal for him to give it to you, even if you pay for it.

Well its not for sale but surely there is a difference between a commercial and a private sale.

For example I would expect to be able to sell my played D3 on eBay provided that I removed it from my PC and sold the key/code/license etc.
