I know this should be in the M1 forums, but that zone is dead.

Is anyone up for some M1 head to head? I've been trying to pump out as many M1 maps as I can whip up in one day (4 maps, I'll upload them to a thread soon), and I've been looking at some other maps for inspiration. I came across the Head to head maps, and remembered how fun they were the first time I played them with James, me_mantis, and armageddon. Is anyone up for some M1 head to head? Just after skimmin through the maps, I've been dying to play some.

I'd be up for it... There is a program that sims LAN over tcp/ip. If we used that free program, we could easilly play eachother.

Yeah I've seen setups like that. I forget why, but there is a specific reason why meteor isn't set up like that. It's expensive, or there are legal issues or something, I dunno. But we have to put up with what's there.

Frankly, All you are allowed to do, is save IP addresses of people you have played with. Then I guess if you want to play online, you gotta try and connect to their IP address, and hope they are running a game. If there were more than like... 10 people who still play meteor, we could have higher hopes for multiplayer. But we just have to put up withh what we have.

I dream of a day where I can join a server at will where there would already be like 4 or 5 people duking it out in an HH map, and I can just join right in the action, without plannng everything out and such.

Yeah we did haha, I couldnt pick up powerups, or shoot or anything, but we got it to work. That Hamachi thing really organizes things better though, I totally reccomend the download.
