So James (that's you, Mr. Bunting), how's the development on the next Meteor game coming? Got any "sneak preview" shots or details on the game/game-engine to show us or anything else to make us drool and wait and drool some more?

I just hope the editors will be easy to use for Meteor 3(3D)
Maybe it wont be moddable?

Im wondering that too (the screens and the how to mod), but Meteors all about modding, so of course it will be!

But if it will be 3D then very few people will MOD it
I for example dont have good skills for modelling.

EDIT:I'd say Meteor 2 is still more better for modding.

the map editor for M3 would be like the map editor used to build maps in HalfLife (4 screens: a 3d viewscreen, a x-y axis top down view, a y-z axis side view and a x-z axis front on view)

I'm not ready for modelling yet. I need first to improve my graphicing (2D) gun huds. Actually, I made with paint a really amazing missle graph. Look!

I still need to work my mods on M2 (M2:M1 and Secret Agency) and let's look at it then. I think it is things for 2007.

I would like to see some 3d_graphics.exe, even if it isn't tied to a game yet.

I imagine everything would be easier & cleaner in M3 because of James' experience in programming M2.

if i remember correctly, M3(D) is supposed to be as simple as DooM 1 and 2. Which means that you basically just make sectors, and type in the height. Hopefully we might get the ability to make roofsectors that objects can go on top of, or slopes.

Objects should have their own top height level. Then planes that have a max height of example 60, could go over sectors with a height under 60. And it would crash onto sectors with hight exact of 60.

That might be cool. I'd sorta like to see some animated textures, and opengl transperancies. ;D ;D ;D

Yeah. Did you know that GIF textures are supported in M2? I haven't still tested animated ones, but I will give my results soon.

I'd advise against it, mainly because A. I should have tried it first ;P, and B. hmm well lets just say somthing is 70% done.(=D =D =D =))

Augh! I just tried to make a texture, and it's ultrahard! Do make anything close to nice, you will need a very good gfx program.
