I played ROD 1-2test, meteor(dos/windows), meteor 2, bubbles, GFI
but I havent played Escape(1-2) too.. :|

Or is it completely deleted from everywhere?
I dont think so..

If anyone has it (and JB agree (why not? its free)) put it here.

Yes Escape 2 is a classic with some great levels. Essentially Escape 1 never got off the ground and does not actually exist as a game.

Rod is Escape 3, more of the same really (same engine but some much bigger levels).

I have Escape 2 for DOS but it won't run at all on a modem 2000/XP computer, it even a gamble running it using Windows 9x.

More recently I have been working on a Win32 port of Rod (Escape too if I just add the levels/weapons). The new port also has a Map Editor and is designed to play exactly like the original. When the pressure is off for Meteor 2 I may pick up the project again.

"I have Escape 2 for DOS ..."
On my older PC Escape ][ should run well because it has DOS just for old games! :D

I thought that JB could send it for us because he has it (for DOS).
And now that M2 is done (right now) I think that he has time for this..
I hope we get it soon.. ;)

I think James needs still to put in the MAPEDIT and other code into... Maybe, maybe not! I dunno! But I'm pretty sure M2 is "fairly done", there is now stable multi... :)

Hmm I don't think that MP is too stable, but Its OK. There were only a few crashes in my coop game today. There were a few big smacks after the host computer's game went down. We had made it all the way to base FOXTROT!!!!! I was the Client, and my game onl crashed about 5 times.

But back to tha topic. Meteor 2 was slated for open release last Christmas, and it was launched a bit after that =D
Don't hold your breath for Escape 2 =D

Lol it won't be very long at all, I already started work on it the other day as I am keen to play it too.

The DOS version will simply not work anymore, it won't run under Windows 95 etc unless in true DOS mode. Also anything faster than a Pentium 1 and its unplayable due to its speed. I can't recompile it its current form either.

I am working on a perfect replica of Escape 2 classic (not the later "Gold" version) for Win32 including every detail. The only new features will be quick saving and perhaps music.

Ok its not much to look at but the levels are fun and there is split screen. Don't expect the second coming of M2 on this one, just expect a fun little game.

James

Nice! Could you make it 3D with dynamicly driven partcle based explosions that fracture the actual object that was destroyed? And Make it 3D, and 4 player split screen?

Well I can't wait even if its just 2 player. =D
Could it be 4 way split?

Nah, that would do a lot of pushing if you would have 4 guys sitting on the same row! Have some sense!

And I think that the old graphs actually make Escape 2, well, Escape 2!!! It has the old effects that make a classic.
