What about binding objects to sectors. That way instead of a unit going all over the place you could make a sector and when he reached the edge he would turn around. This would work to keep a unit in a sector.

You could also put the object on the outside of the sector and have it so he dosent cross it. you could put a sector down and some fire sprites. When the units come the turn away from the fire.

You mean like treating the outside of a sector as if it were a wall? yeah that would be neat

yea. But also the inside so if you put the unit in the sector it can't leave that sector.

I dad just that in a map i made. I made the doors water so that you could shoot over them, and the enemies couldn't get out unless you got in. It worked well, execpt that there was a little checkered border where the doors were

Yes, the water sectors! You could also do that in M1, making the tower or whatever and then use Papercut's Trick Wall to make normal troops to pass but when the player tries, it turns to wall! But u should also put a reset tile out that when the player crosses it the trick wall comes down.
