I think it would be nice to have an option to enable 'no weapon.' It would be nothing, not even a weapon. Any ideas? You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Yeah, great idea for levels like my "On the Rooftops" in where you have to runm from a boss with out any weapons. This right now is imposible because the game always shows the weapon you used last. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Isn't there a script function that lets you reset the player's inventory? It would probably be cool if shooting had recoil effects that pushed you back or slowed you down, then you have to make the choice of whether to take the time to shoot at enemies in your way and risk being caught by the boss, or run and try to dodge enemies. Or you could just use it to be at the start of the game like in half life 2 if anyones played it, the first whole big part is just sneaking around and running away with no weapons which some people might do in thier maps/mods. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Zable Fahr: true you can reset the inventory, but the player inventory is set by default to a pistol with 12/100 ammo armaghetto: yeah i like that part in the game. That would be good even for the beginning of M2, so you dont find yourself being bored enough to assassinate all those inoocent people and farm animals, or even Gen. J.J. Hawkins himself in base Rosfield.

good idea, like a weapon oddly named "unarmed" that fires an invisible projectile that has little to no range and does no damage and no soundfx.

The only problem with that is that you will still have the hud image and ammo capicity to deal with, it would be pretty weird having so many unnarmeds. Why not just have a simple hand-to-hand weapon like a fist, something that does little dammage (espically to armoured units--wouldn't want to punch out a tank unless you uh... have a special character like what would be in my mod later on). This way it would look nice and fit in, you could have it in a mortal combat mod or something. You need to login to create posts in this thread. |
