Right now the only things you could copy and paste are sectors.

It would be much easier for me (and others) if you could copy and past objects for faster use. Say you have an ene set to guard and facing an angle, and you wanted to place 10. This would be much easier if you could just copy one and paste the rest.

This could also be done for other things, if you can think of any :p

I know what you mean, its a real bummer.

I will add a copy and paste for objects.

Hmmm...maybe it would be easier to allow to set default properties of a created object...

I was gonna post on that too, but you beat me to it. I'd love not to have to set so many units when i could copy them.

Related would be selecting groups of objects and then copying them. Pasting them would place copies of them in new locations, and they would retain their relative positions.

Of course this is probably many times harder to implement than single objects, so just something to think about.

Clicking once on an object, then clicking once on another object would make that object part of the group, then you can paste that group. Clicking on the object again would remove it from the group. Thats how it should be. This also goes to sectors and sprites

In object terms (compared to sectors) I see copying and pasting as being the same thing as "Set as Default Object" as there is no additional geometric data.

As for group selections Zable is right about the implementation factor being far greater. Its the kind of thing that will go in the low priority check list (which means after v1.0).
