There are some issues with the filters on these boards. For instance, the word C.R.A.P is blanked out and so is A.R.S.E. Acutally, alot of these simple, not so offeneseive words are coencidentally also words in the middle of other words (like S.C.R.A.P.E.D.... aka scraped). The filter blocks these words, giving wrong impressions and leading to confusion.

Also, note the irony. Words like ass, damn, ect. are not blocked, but some may view these words definetly more offensive than C.R.A.P and A.R.S.E.

I say just remove the word filter entirely as it is now, and make it only block severe words that dont happen to be in the middle of other words that are not offensive at all.

I totally agree, for obvious reasons.

What about making the word filter have expsepsions of certain words like S.C.R.A.P.E.D and other words with C.R.A.P. in it? and what does A.R.S.E. stand for?

I agree, especially since everyone in this forum who plays meteor SHOULD be 13 or older for the blood and violence, and I am sure they have heard these words before?

Yeah and even if not, those aren't even really THAT offensive.... The majority of us live in Europe and/or North America, so we probably all hear stuff that's far worse than that, like, every day! Heh!

B.T.W., the word "A.R.S.E." ("Arse";) (without the periods) is a British thing, meaning ass in Great Britain and and Brit. colonies and such.... It has many uses though. Like for example, it can replace both "ass" and "bother"....

A.R.S.E. is a European thing? hmm, No wonder I heard that word from a punk rock band that originated England!
