It would be cool to have enemy melee units that could run faster than the player ie: enemy ninjas or something like that so what i'm suggesting is simply More maxspeed to units.
Always you could balance things by setting the player speed lower so that the enemy units wouldn't run too fast

The speed system in M2 is quite different from M1.

Firstly the game runs at 60 ticks per sec compared to M1's 30. This gives you more control and more frequent moves.

Secondly an object's speed is set using a combination of the following values:

1. Movement frequency - move every X 100/sec (ok so anything above 60 wont really count but you wont notice that too much).

2. Movement step - How many pixels to move each time.

A practical example of the result is that sheep piddle along where as aircraft shoot past.

As for the player speed it purely depends on which object you are "controlling" at the time (you are bound to an object whoch is usually the default player object).

Dont let me confuse you, with the first setting the lower the number the faster.

So if you moved 10 pixels every 1/100 second you would really be shifting.

The cool thing is that the range is > 100 meaning that you could move 1 pixel every 500/100 second meaning 1 pixel every 5 seconds (now thats slow).

I don't like complex things but I would like the challenge.
