(1)In the weapon editor, you should be able to toggle whether a weapon can fire a selected amount of projectiles at a time. That would be better for the shotgun, and double weapons.

(2)You should be able to decide how much ammo a weapon takes away. That way the Laser Cannon would probably use 2 powercells since it shoots something, somewhat like 2 projectiles. And the fusion cannon would use like 10 Plutonium Charges.

About #1 you should also be able to select how much ammo is used when firing once, firing a shotgun with 10 bullets should only take one shotgun shell to fire.

I Think Melee weapons should be set up differently, It shouldnt make a projectile, just hurt when you close to someone/something

That sounds cool, yet pretty hard for this type of game. I wonder what the chinook will be! lol (Or you could simply not use it at all). A Medieval mod would really show how well this game can be modded, That will be nice to look forward too.

With M1 its hard but when M2 comes out it shouldnt be too much. It would definetly be different though I'll tell you that.

How about having a weapon firing sprite, like when you use a knife, you have the jabbing action.
