James has an idea similar to this, but it reminded me of some palatte of sector properties...I was thinking in the rightclick menu (when you click on sectors) there should be a "save to palette" option. Then, you can select the thumbnail of texture in a window for each saved sector.

That would be cool. I think it would also be nice to have keys to press that toggled the sectors Alright folks, I've caputured and turned Apoc into a mutant. This is what he gets for not believing that I am the Messiah.

One vision. One purpose. properties

1 could toggle sector passible status between land, solid, water, closed, and in the air.

2 could toggle raised/sunk/flat

etc

Actually I was thinking of saving an entire sector's details.

So its kinda like a copy and paste with all of the sector properties and the geometric data too.

The great thing is that you can save them to your palette and use them for all of your maps.

No palette file will be supplied with M2 releases so the palette data file will never be overwritten.

And yes there will be thumbnails and even the option for a name/description.

Right! That's exactly what I had in mind. It will make creating sectors so much easier!

Only problem with updating the ediing tools in meteor is that when I make a map that takes over 30 minutes to make because I didn't have that feature, and then after finishing it, I find out that it will soon be able to be done in 30 seconds, is pretty aggrevating.

Make it anyway, so people dont have to go through things that I did.
