Reloading needs to be firmed up by:
- Not being able to switch weapons during the duration of the reload.
- Allowing ONE reload at a time, as it is possible to tap the reload key over and over, causing a racket of reload sfx.
- Putting some other sign of reload-ation other than the sfx, maybe simply putting "Reloading..." on the hud or even cooler, a progress bar with editable sprites.

If the time is available, it would be tougher but if there was an option under the reload section of the weapons editor to "Use length of sfx" as opposed to specifying the length.

I got to agree on this one. I think i said something like this earlier. I would like a reload bar, You should still be able to switch weapons while reloading, but it will pause the time it takes to reload, and either restart the time to start from where it left off.

I also wondered if the shotgun will reload each shell individually, or should the shotgun have a clip?

While reloading, it should give you an ingame message in red letters that clearly states "RELOADING", so that I am not wondering why my enemy isnt dead yet.

Ummm, I like so much the sfx, maybe let's have it. All others, like the progress bar, cooler hud, no ability to switch or at least no ability to reload multi at time, all these are good.

BTW, does someone know when M2 v 1.02 or 1.1 is coming out?????

Wow your right lol.

-Muzzleflash/contact sprite
-Nice New Look!
-And this one.

@Aleks

He didnt mean remove the soundfx, he means the ability to set the reload time to be at the exact length of the reload sound, instead of estimating the amount of time you think it ends.

Maybe you could test reloads in the weapon editor.

It will show a little red bar that is the time of reload, much like the one you recomend to be in during game play. Then it will play the sound while the bar is filling up during testing, so that it would be easier to make the reload time more accurate to the sound.

Third time? I thought that was just the fourth one one ltt.

In rod forum, here, although it was responding on James, hehe.

Well, the sfx not token away is good, I would not like to download new versions with no sfx!

Maybe the bar should be changed to a "RELOADING!" text under the ammo and that should fill up. (file attached) <:)

These features will blow up the game world!!!!!! hehe

Well seeing the 0 at the bottoms sort of tells you the same thing. It should be moved up more where the in game messages are, or at least blinking to catch your attention.

Goooooood Moooooorning Meteor!!!! You guys don't have to be happy anymore cause I'm back!! (From CPU/motherboard problems, ignorance, fatigue, blackouts, lack of time...)

To the point: If only one reload at a time, wouldn't that cause vehicles with multiple weapons to reload one at a time too, and thus breaking the synced reload of my future Heli-gunship sporting 2-4 GSh-23L two-barreled 23mm cannons?

Think about it when tweaking the player object reload scripts.

Well how bout this new reloading system for the player character only, and allowing multiple reloads at once BUT without the ability to press reload in the middle of reloading for anything else.

weapon idea tangent:
1. automatic shotgun: 3 rounds / 2 seconds, 10-12? in normal clip, 30? in drumdrum clip (forget what it's called IRL, used by US navy)
2. sawed-off double barreled shotgun: 2.5 or 3 second reload time, very wide spread.

Weapon ideas? That probably would be better under the mod-material thread.
