well.. Its summer again. I didn't notice, that must explian the sudden influx of people playing Red Alert 2 online =)
Maybe we should start a prize fund for finishing Meteor2 before June 20th. After that date, the amount of money in the fund is cut in half every day.

Actually the opposite of vacation. X(
I have been doing like super long hours, and havn't had any time to catch my breath till now, so I guess you now know that I wasn't assassinated. =D Next Week I should have less to do.
BTW: I HATE sheetrock&drywall, and I'm beginning to dislike kitchen cabnits.=|
I finish most of my M2 stuff a while ago, so don't worry, you won't get cheated out of a few really cool levels.

Yeah, sheetrock is a pain in the a*s, when we remodeled our house I helped my dad put up drywall and it was heavy and dusty and hard to hold up while drilling.

:p

Kicthen cabinets, call the pros if you can afford it lol. Oh and don't swing off them, especially the ones with glass shelves.

Vacation? Now thats an idea. Well I am cracking on with M2 (gotta get it right). I have also been making some improvements to Meteor 1, it was a good test platform for the new (FAST!)networking code for M2.

As I have said before M2 v1.0 will not have network code (unless people want to wait a month longer). I may as well get the SP missions out there first.

Cabinets? Bah, who needs 'em?

Well, anyways, its nice to see the M2's network coding is going to be very nice to us, but do you think it could easily hold "Up to 64 players" playing at a time, and if not, what if everyone was on Cable ;)?

Now the question of the day is: Do you think we'll make it THIS week? ;)

Meteor 1 v1.3 will be released first, that is due out any day now once the network bugs have been cleared up.

As for 64 players, yes, just as long as the server is on a fat pipe. Small servers will be fine on regular broadband.

As for the clients its not really that much of a problem anymore, its the server bandwidth that matters as it has to talk to all of the players at the same time.

I would like to have the multiplayer mode avaible as soon as you can. I made H2H map called Power Complex. There you can first have a battle with your guns or clicking the switch to deactivate the turrets and battle with 'em! I would SOOOOO like to send it in!
