i think meteor 2 is great, even though its still a beta. The only thing which isn't very good is that you have to put .pcx files in a graphics folder instead of importing directly You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

Hey well, its a beta, dont get too hooked on mods/maps! Dont want to see a mod/map thats only compatible with "Beta 1.2"! You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

The seperate PCX thing does take some getting used too but its the way to go due to the obvious advantages. - Its dead easy to change/update the graphics on a global basis without having to open up sprite files. - Each image can be several times (much more efficient) You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

I think the M2's editors are great, but should I wait for a latter version to create my mod for M2? You need to login to create posts in this thread. |

A good idea. The basic map format is finalised in Beta 1.2 but the script format will change (finalised in 1.3), for example syntax for game messages etc. Level exits will not change (SC_EndCurrentLevel(); will always work). Well well well. A finnish dictionaryman is needed. "mikä se vitun koodi on" = "what the hell code is it" "vittu" "vitun" or "vittu" in any form is swaring and... You need to login to create posts in this thread. |
